Local driver Chad Benjamin utilizes auto racing as a vehicle for ministry

When Chad Benjamin began racing over a decade ago, he had a race car with stripes and the number 69 on it. He had recently begun a relationship with Jesus and felt compelled to change the design of the car by giving it the #12 as a reference to the twelve disciples. He also added a Jesus sticker to the car. The car, now blood red, draws attention and has been a literal ‘vehicle’ for ministry.

What began as a single racer’s passion has grown to be a family’s mission. Chad’s wife Nancy is one of two pit crew members while son Aaron is the team photographer. Daughters Holli and Stephanie can be seen enthusiastically giving their support both in the stands during races and at local events. Chad’s brother Kirk Benjamin is also a member of the team and drives the #52 car.
